How to get your training
programme up and running
with BodyByte BodyByte is a VERY easy training and fitness software program to use.
But don't be fooled, it is also very powerful. It has been designed to have the look
and feel of a web page, even though it is a fully independent standalone Windows
program. So if you're used to web surfing, no problem. If not, each program page
contains full instructions on how to proceed. If you can read, you can use BodyByte.
And,
BodyByte is lightning fast. If you had to perform the same complex functions on an
Internet-based online program, you'd be sitting around waiting for endless screen
refreshes while BodyByte will have crunched away in fractions of seconds.
To get a
running start with your fitness training programme with BodyByte, the following steps
will probably be the way for most to go. Remember, you have complete freedom to decide
how much detail you wish to control in your training programme. This can vary from
fairly basic to very comprehensive, all dictated by your requirements. Here are the
steps...
Download BodyByte Download your country edition and version type of the BodyByte install
file, which is free. Then run the install file to install BodyByte on your computer.
The installation is complete but not activated - everything works except saving and
printing, which are locked.
Activate BodyByte Just follow the instructions for FULLY SECURE online activation
when you start BodyByte. For all country editions of the BodyByte Free version activation
is FREE. Activation is also ONCE-OFF, and your installation will remain activated
without any expiry date or time limitation. After processing your activation request,
you are immediately issued with your computer-specific Activation Code. Enter your
Activation Code and BodyByte is activated and ready to roll.
Create your user file Start BodyByte and create a user file for yourself, or, if you
are a coach, for each of your sports team members. BodyByte allows an unlimited number
of user files to be created and monitored on the system, so you can keep track of
any number of team members. Typically, sports coaches use BodyByte Pro version for
creating detailed fitness and exercise plans for their team members, and each team
member uses BodyByte Free version for record keeping and monitoring. Feedback to
the coach is through effortless user file exchange (typically via e-mail), where
progress can be checked and modifications made to exercise routines, fitness testing,
etc.
Fill out your User Profile The User Profile in each user file contains all the information
about the individual which you intend keeping record of. You can specify body parameters
such as age, gender, body height, body weight, body fat percentage, up to 10 different
body measurements, blood pressure, resting heart rate, 4 serum cholesterol indicators
and blood glucose levels. In addition, you can keep track of up to 16 different fitness
parameters in 8 fitness categories. You don't NEED to specify all parameters, only
those that are pertinent to your training programme. Body builders, for instance,
will specify all the parameters which together will give a complete anthropometric
profile such as body weight, body fat and a full body measurement breakdown. They
will usually wish to specify and monitor fitness parameters such as muscular strength,
but not necessarily others such as aerobic fitness. BodyByte allows you to use and
apply its tools in the way it suits YOUR own individual requirements, and these can
be modified at any time to keep up with your needs.
Capture your fitness programme You can get going with fitness programme planning by
capturing any number of exercise plans/schedules. Use the tools of the Exercise Planner
to capture exercise plans from any source (a fitness book or magazine, the Internet,
your own creation or from a sports science professional). The Exercise Planner makes
it easy to create and print out exercise plans, which are typically used in the gym
or on the track for instruction and feedback recording. This provides focus and structure
to the exercise session. Once captured, exercise schedules can be distributed to
sports team members via easy e-mail exchange, from where they are imported into each
member's user file. Everything, even e-mailing of data, is handled directly from
the BodyByte program interface.
You can also do complete sports nutrition planning
and monitoring with BodyByte, with provision made for creation of meal plans, capturing
recipes and managing detailed food lists. All of these are easy to manage and are
distributed exactly in the same manner as exercise plans. The combination of exercise
and sports nutrition management capability puts BodyByte in a class of its own: A
true one-stop information processor to serve all your training needs.
Record your training and fitness history Your training programme really starts when
exercise- and nutrition plans are implemented and recording of actual training data
commences. With BodyByte you can record all your body condition (body state) parameter
history, your food intake history as well as exercise and fitness assessment history.
Evaluate your recorded history Once history recording commences, you can start examining
the data. The History module in BodyByte makes it easy to retrieve the records and
display the results in graphs, tables, etc. You can establish very quickly in which
direction the training programme is heading, and you can make informed (rather than
haphazard) decisions about the way forward. This enables you to constantly revise
and adjust your strategies, and also provides an excellent platform to compare results
and experiment with new ideas.
